The Youth Community of St. Vincent de Paul was established in 2023 to journey with our post-Confirmation youths as they continue to grow in their faith. As Cardinal William Goh often shares at Confirmation Masses throughout the Archdiocese, Confirmation is not the “sacrament of farewell” and therefore, it is not the end of one’s faith journey. Recognising this, our parish seeks to provide a meaningful space where young people can deepen their relationship with Christ and form lasting friendships within the parish.
This community is a safe and supportive environment where youths are invited to encounter Christ beyond the structure of weekly catechism classes and the responsibilities of parish ministry. It offers opportunities for spiritual formation that nourish the heart, even as members continue to serve actively in the life of the parish.
The name Totus Tuus, Latin for “Totally Yours,” was the personal motto of Pope Saint John Paul II. It reflects a spirit of complete trust, dedication, and surrender to God. By adopting this name, our community seeks to model a life fully committed to Christ, encouraging each member to give their whole heart to Him in faith, service, and fellowship.
All young people are warmly encouraged to join — especially those already serving in various ministries — to come as you are, to be renewed, and to rest in the abundant love that God desires to share through community. Do contact us if you are keen to find out more.

Cor Laudans is FOV’s music community+ministry! We serve the young people of our parish by playing for camps and events, offering ourselves as instruments for God to draw His children to Him and to the Liturgy, through music.
But... we are much more than just a music ministry. We strive to also be a welcoming community that grows together in faith together through scripture, prayer, and fellowship. Like all communities, Cor Laudans is also a safe space for our members to be vulnerable before God and before others.
Our name, Cor Laudans, comes from the Latin words cor meaning “heart” and laudans meaning “praising.” It reflects the heart of our community: a heart fully devoted to praising our Triune God. Worship in Cor Laudans is more than music or words — it is a living expression of gratitude, devotion, and love, shaping the way we live each and every day.
Best of all, no musical experience is required to join. Whether you plan to serve in music or simply want to be part of a welcoming community that resonates with the spirit of music, Cor Laudans invites you to grow in faith, form friendships, and encounter God in a meaningful way.
Meeting Days and Timings:

Hello! We are the Youth Catechists Ministry of the Church of St. Vincent de Paul, fondly known as YouthCats. For many of us, our own experience in the parish Catechetical Programme was deeply formative and life-giving. Moved by the impact it had on our faith, we returned to serve as young Catechists — to share the faith with the young people of the parish, and to help lead them closer to God through the Liturgy and the Sacraments.
While the YouthCats have always gathered unofficially for community and formation as young catechists whenever there was the opportunity to do so, in 2025, we decided to formally establish the ministry, so as to model community life intentionally for the young people of the parish, especially the ones whom we catechise.
Today, in addition to being actively involved in the weekly catechetical sessions of the parish, we gather twice a month for community meetings. These sessions provide space for fellowship and sharing, as well as ongoing formation in the Liturgy, the Sacraments, Sacred Scripture, and teaching pedagogy.
At the heart of our ministry is a genuine desire to journey with the young people of our parish. Through our service as Youth Catechists, we hope to be living witnesses of faith — reflecting Christ in our words and actions and sharing how God has been at work in our lives.

The RCIY (Rite of Christian Initiation for Youth) programme at Church of St Vincent de Paul is a faith formation journey for young people aged 16 to 25 who are seeking to learn more about the Catholic faith and deepen their relationship with God.
RCIY welcomes youths from all walks of life—those who are curious about Christianity, those discerning baptism, and baptised Catholics who have yet to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. Regardless of where one is in their faith journey, RCIY is more than merely about preparing our young people to receive the Sacraments. Our mission is to provide a safe, welcoming, and prayerful space for young people to encounter Jesus Christ and to grow in understanding of the Catholic faith.
Our Community
RCIY is a vibrant faith community made up of:
• Facilitators
Trained volunteers who lead sessions, share Church teachings, and help create a supportive environment for learning, discussion, and spiritual growth.
• Sponsors
Baptised and confirmed Catholics who accompany non-Catholic inquirers as spiritual companions, offering guidance, encouragement, and personal witness throughout the journey.
• Inquirers
Non-Catholics who wish to explore the Catholic faith, ask questions, and discern their call towards baptism and full communion with the Church.
• Confirmands
Baptised Catholics who have not yet received the Sacrament of Confirmation and are seeking to complete their initiation into the Church.
Our Mission
The RCIY programme is dedicated to:
• Journeying with youths from their first encounter with Jesus through baptism, confirmation, and beyond
• Nurturing a living and personal faith rooted in Scripture, Church teaching, and prayer
• Forming young disciples who are confident in their Catholic identity and committed to living out the Gospel
