Finding Harmony in Faith - The Ukulele Group
What began as a shared passion among several ukulele enthusiasts has blossomed into a vibrant community: the SVDP Ukulele Group. The Group started in 2016 and to date there are more than 30 members, who gather every Thursday evening for practice, spiritual input and fellowship.
Apart from the weekly sessions, the Group is also committed to outreach. A particularly meaningful aspect of the outreach programme is the Group’s bi-monthly music therapy sessions at a local nursing home. Through the old songs and familiar tunes, the Group brings comfort, joy, and laughter to the residents.
The SVDP Ukulele Group also receives invitations to perform at various events, both within SVDP Church and in the broader community.
